At Mount Hermon we lovingly create experiences where guests can encounter Jesus and leave refreshed, renewed and transformed by the Love of God. Since our beginning in 1906 Mount Hermon has been a welcoming place where people from all walks of life can put aside distractions and focus on what is most important: their relationships with one another and with God. Mount Hermon now operates camp centers in the Santa Cruz Mountains and near the California/Oregon border where we serve over 85,000 guests each year.

Statement of Beliefs

  1. We believe in the verbal and complete inspiration by God of the original writings of the Old and New Testament Scriptures, the only infallible rule of faith and practice.
  2. We believe in God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  3. We believe Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true Man.
  4. We believe the Holy Spirit is God, at work in the world to execute all divine activity and, especially, to reveal Jesus Christ and to glorify Him.
  5. We believe man was created in the image of God and is loved by Him, but through sinful inheritance and choice, is alienated, separated from God and under His righteous judgment.
  6. We believe the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a substitutionary and complete sacrifice, and that all who repent and believe in Him are justified, wholly apart from human merit and works, on the ground of His shed blood and resurrection.
  7. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there for us, as High Priest and Advocate.
  8. We believe in the second, visible and personal coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to establish His worldwide Kingdom on the earth.
  9. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the eternal blessedness of the saved and the everlasting separation from God of the unsaved.
  10. We believe all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God and members of the body of Christ, the one true Church, whose life is visibly expressed wherever even two or three are gathered together in Christ’s name.
  11. We believe the Christian life is not a reformation, but a transformation, in which Christ Himself relives His life through the believer’s whole being. Such a life will be pre-eminently characterized by love, truth and purity.
  12. We believe the Church is commissioned to evangelize the world by proclaiming Jesus Christ as Lord, and by living as His servants among men.

Santa Cruz Mountains

Nestled among the towering redwoods and just six miles from Monterey Bay. Our original location has three unique camp and conference facilities.
 


Redwood Camp

An intimate "camp" experience like you remember from your youth. With a large meeting room, dining hall, sports pavilion, heated pool, zip line, activities, and more, Redwood Camp is perfect for kids and kids at heart.
 


Conference Center

Surrounded by stunning redwoods our conference center hosts large-scale retreats and programs. An assortment of meeting rooms and housing options alongside world-class recreation makes for a versatile ministry venue.
 


Ponderosa Lodge

Intentionally designed for active ministry events that integrate action with learning. Swimming, hiking, zip lines, laser tag and special gathering spaces for intimate encounters with Jesus.

Our Kidder Creek location is located 7 hours north of Santa Cruz.
 


Kidder Creek

Kidder Creek is Northern California's premier adventure camp offering whitewater rafting, rock climbing, horseback riding, aerial adventures and back-country vistas. Overnight adventures challenge and inspire guests and create lasting memories.

At Mount Hermon we want all our guests to have an encounter with Jesus. He wants to have a personal relationship with you, and you were made to have a relationship with Him. All of our programs point to simple truths that you can know now.

God Loves You

There is one true God – and God loves you! "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

But there's a problem

The problem is that you and I – all of us – have sinned and our sins separate us from God. What is sin? Sin is our choosing to do, and say, and think things that go against God’s desire for us. "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

The Good News

The Good News is that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins. He took the punishment for your sins. Yet after He died, God raised Him from the dead. "Christ died for our sins...He was buried...He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures...He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred..."(1 Corinthians 15:3-6).

We Must Receive Christ

To receive God’s free gift of love, we must receive His Son Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord. We receive Jesus Christ by turning to God and asking Him to forgive our sins, and receiving Jesus Christ by faith as our Savior and Lord.

“Lord Jesus, I ask your forgiveness for my sins. Thank you for dying on the cross to pay the penalty for my sins. I believe you died for my sins and I receive you as my Savior and Lord. I invite you into my life and I want to follow you as my Savior and Lord.”
